Prior to pursuing his interest in vasectomies, Dr Walters operated a private anaesthetic practice specialising in anaesthesia for dental surgery, the second largest of its kind in Australia. Dr Walters has personally performed some 37,000 successful anaesthetics and this provides the basis of his expert knowledge in the fields of general anaesthesia and intravenous sedation.
